Livi update

I can't believe how fast Livi is growing!  The last picture is when she was just a few weeks old, and I can't believe how much she has already changed.  My 11 week old baby is already wearing 6-9 month clothes!  It makes me so sad when I realize she doesn't fit in to an outfit anymore.  At her 2 month apt. she almost weighed 14 pounds and she was 24 inches long.  The doctor was amazed at how big she was!  We found out our insurance doesn't cover immunizations, so we had to take her to the health department to get her shots.  She actually did really well, but it was so hard for me to see her in pain.  She is such a good little sleeper!  She already sleeps for 9 hours at night, and usually doesn't wake up until around 8 or 9.  She has a little problem with blowouts....so not fun!  We usually go through 2 or 3 outfits in a day, and I am having a hard time getting the poop stains out of her cute clothes! I She is one happy baby, she smiles all day long, and it is so fun to interact with her.  She has discovered her voice, I love listening to her talk. I am constantly amazed at how much I love her, I didn't think it was humanly possible to love someone so much!

Olivia joins our family

Now that Olivia is here and I actually have something to blog about I guess I'll join the blogging world! We absolutely adore our little Livi, she is such a good baby and has brought so much joy in to our home.
Olivia was born on Feb. 15th at 4:36 pm. I was woken up at 5:00 that morning with a pretty strong contraction. After 2 hours of timing my contractions we headed to the hospital. I was terrified that they were going to send me home, but to my suprise they let me stay! They broke my water and started me on oxytocin. I was amazed at how strong my contractions got after they started me on oxytocin! It was easily the most intense pain I have ever felt. But luckily I didn't have to feel it for long.....thank heavens for epidurals! I was really nervous about getting an epidural but it wasn't bad at all, and it was SO worth it! Not long after I got the epidural I started throwing up, and I pretty much threw up all day long. The nurse gave me some anti nausea medicine, but nothing really helped. Around 3:00 the nurse said I was ready to push, and after an hour of pushing our precious Olivia was born! 7lbs 130z, 18.5 in. long...and oh so perfect!
