Now that Olivia is here and I actually have something to blog about I guess I'll join the blogging world! We absolutely adore our little Livi, she is such a good baby and has brought so much joy in to our home.
Olivia was born on Feb. 15th at 4:36 pm. I was woken up at 5:00 that morning with a pretty strong contraction. After 2 hours of timing my contractions we headed to the hospital. I was terrified that they were going to send me home, but to my suprise they let me stay! They broke my water and started me on oxytocin. I was amazed at how strong my contractions got after they started me on oxytocin! It was easily the most intense pain I have ever felt. But luckily I didn't have to feel it for long.....thank heavens for epidurals! I was really nervous about getting an epidural but it wasn't bad at all, and it was SO worth it! Not long after I got the epidural I started throwing up, and I pretty much threw up all day long. The nurse gave me some anti nausea medicine, but nothing really helped. Around 3:00 the nurse said I was ready to push, and after an hour of pushing our precious Olivia was born! 7lbs 130z, 18.5 in. long...and oh so perfect!
